Soundtracs Topaz Project 8. 24 channel recording and mixing console. Great condition. Works perfectly. Sounds fantastic. This is a board that will really warm up digital recordings. It is in-line and has 4 stereo FX returns so it can take 56 inputs on mixdown.
This mixer has 8 busses, 6 auxes, direct outs, eq's on the channel and monitor paths, and 24 great sounding preamps. I will include a few TRS, XLR-TRS, and Insert snakes. Listed for $1500 but don't be afraid to make a reasonable offer.

I also have a few compressors, a tube preamp, and an 8 channel ADAT converter that I will be listing. We can talk about a package deal.

I purchased this new, in 2004 when i had a nice analog rig with balanced inputs. It sounded si amazing!.

It has balanced XLR, 1/4 in. and RCA inputs and outputs. It has volume controls, some boost and cut buttons, its made of metal. It comes with the power cord.

However, now I don't have the rest of my previous equipment, but I always held onto this EQ because I liked it so much. 31-band EQ lets you really shape your sound environment.

Very Rare Mesa Boogie Nomad 100 Head. 3 Channels with independent master controls, each with two modes: Ch.1 - Clean/Pushed (Vintage Blackface/Tweed type sounds.) Ch. 2 - Vintage/Modern (Old/New school Marshall tones.) Ch. 3 - Modern/Vintage (True Blue Mesa!) Channels 2 and 3 are similar, but have slightly different eq voicings. Being the long head, this Nomad 100 also has the Boogie 5-band eq on board, just like some of the most storied and revered amps in Mesa's history. Set your preamps once, and have 12 tones on tap! Put a nice overdrive pedal in front of her, and you have an all out fire breathing metal monster!

This amp can do anything from crystal clean, to bluesy break up to classic rock to modern grind. 100 watts (loudest thing you've ever heard!) switchable to 60 watts. Currently loaded with new Mesa 6L6 power tubes, but switchable to EL34's if you like aq more Marshall, upper-mids sort of thing. Has a slave out for sending to another power amp or fx unit, a recording out with speaker kill switch (can run headphones, also) and a parallel fx loop with mix level control. Also has independent true spring reverb for all three channels, and a solo boost function. Comes with 6 button footswitch and cable - changes channels, reverb, solo, and eq on/off.

The presence and master pots on ch. 3 needs to be replaced - they both cut out around 2:00. Mesa has some of the best customer service around - just a phone call and the part should be on its way.

I am the Original owner of this beautiful bass, It is equipped with Bartolini pickups and electronics that have a great midrange growl when you solo the neck pickup. It has 18v preamp that is powerful through the mix. I toured with a few bands and it always played well.

That being said it has been toured with; it has some buckle rash on the back, and there are a couple cracks in the laquer. Although nothing that would bother the amazing action of the carbon fiber neck. I have gone from Florida heat all the way to Michigan dry -10 degree bonechilling cold and not had to even tune this bass. With the action being as consistant as it is I have learned alot of tapping, double thumbing and general fast fingering on the solid neck.

The Eureka from Presonus is a channel strip mic preamp. A channel strip is a piece of equipment that has multiple in-line items under the hood. The items are typically a Pre-amp/ Compressor/ and EQ. This gives you 3 pieces of equipment for the price of one. The Eureka is a Pro level piece of equipment, however it is rather economical and makes a perfect addition to a home recording studio.

I bought the Eureka after much consideration and review reading. I have a very small home studio - primarily comprised of a computer, a mixer, a few mics, and all of my editing and mixing and sound treatment was done post-recording. The reason I looked into buying a pre-amp was because I needed something to boost my signal- make it a little more crisp and help out my sound as much as I could before my computer even had a chance to touch it. I figured that "pre-processing" would be the best area to drop a little money into because my music equipment was fine, my computer did a decent job of post-processing, but I needed some help with the signal going into the computer. So I bought the Eureka.

To be truthful, I didn't know what to expect when I ordered the Eureka. I had never owned a compressor or a pre-amp or even an EQ. I new how to use them, but really didn't know what to expect with this unit. All the reviews I had read said it was awesome, and that after using just one unit - most studios bought more. Upon receiving my unit, I understood why. The Eureka is amazing. It will make the flatest sounding dynamic mic sound bright and responsive. I really couldn't believe the difference till I was compressing and eq-ing in real time. It is pretty amazing.

Sound
This channel strip fattens that flat sound up and beafs those vocals up out of this world. The compressor is wonderful on everything. I could instantly hear the difference with the unit on drums. It flattened the dynamics and gave the precussion a great "Pop" to it that just isn't there without the compressor. Overall- this unit just makes everything sound better-brighter- and clean, very very clean.

Ease of use
Boy was I relieved when the unit came with a presets book. It basically gives you the run down on what settings work best universally for certain applications. For example if you want to set up the unit to record vocals that would be set up differently than if you wanted to record drums or horns or guitars. The manual helps new users out by telling them exactly what to change the dials to. Great tool for Newbies.

Conclusion
The Eureka was the first compressor I ever owned, the first equalizing unit I ever owned, and it was the the first pre-amp I ever owned. I really can't imagine what I would do if my experience had not been this good. Using this unit really made transparent signal enhancers like compressors and eq's seem really important. I understood exactly what these processors did and it made a big difference in my recordings. If I hadn't gotten seriously different results I would have looked at my other pieces of equipment to improve (i.e. mics and effects). Having used the Presonus Eureka - I know what it takes to sound Pro. I would recommend this unit over anyone out there in its price range. It is a must for the difference in quality. My biggest complaint is that I cant' get 4 more so I can have a unit on every mic on a trap set. It definitely makes a difference to your sound.

What is the Reflexion Filter
The Reflexion Filter is basically a portable device for recording live sound sources with reduced room ambience. It is an advanced composite wall which is positioned behind any microphone by means of a variable position stand clamp assembly which ships with the product. The main function is to help obtain a 'dry' vocal or instrument recording. This is especially useful in studios without proper acoustic treatment, but can also be used to help record takes in control rooms, where the performer also has to operate the recording device, or in rehearsal studios to reduce ambient noise.

The Technical Bit
The Reflexion Filter has 6 main layers. Firstly, a strong layer of punched Aluminum which allows sound waves to pass through it, diffused, to a layer of absorptive wool. The sound waves then hit a layer of Aluminum foil which helps dissipate energy and break up the lower frequency wave-forms, and from here they hit an air space kept open by rods passing through the various layers. The air gap acts as an acoustic barrier. The sound waves then pass to a further layer of wool and then through an outer, punched, Aluminum wall which further serve to absorb then diffuse the remaining acoustic energy.

The main absorber has 4 formed pieces of state-of-the-art specialist acoustic absorptive material attached to its face via the extended separation rods, which further serve to absorb and then diffuse the sound waves as they pass to the main filter.

The stand assembly comprises a mic stand clamp fitting, which attaches by means of a vertical joint to the horizontal bar assembly onto which both the Reflexion Filter, and any standard fitting shock mount can be fixed. The microphone (in its shock mount) can then be moved both vertically and horizontally along the bar, and the Reflexion Filter itself can be moved vertically to obtain the optimum working position.

How Does it Work
The various layers both absorb and diffuse the sound waves hitting them, so progressively less of the original source acoustic energy passes through each layer. This reduces the amount of energy hitting un-treated walls and other surfaces so there is less of the original source reflected back as unwanted room ambience to the mic. The Reflexion Filter also helps prevent any reflected sound reaching the back and sides of the mic. Its shape and size have been carefully tested to maximize absorption while keeping 'coloration' down to only around 1dB, and leaving the microphone's polar pattern unaffected.

In Summary
All in all, it's a very clever and desirable piece of kit. It allows you to record vocals, guitars etc with a 'drier' sound without having to have an acoustically treated room. It's portable. It uses state of the art materials. It works... and it's a fraction of the price of acoustically treating your studio environment!

This unit is really cool in that it has tons of killer on board guitar FX and tones as well as a rhythym machine. 8 tracks of pure digital bandwidth with 8 virtual tracks per track ='s 64 tracks...
